First Principles & First Values

From Crisis to Crossing

AS THE META-CRISIS DEEPENS, THE FATE OF CIVILIZATION AND HUMANITY HANGS IN THE BALANCE. Like Europe in the early Renaissance, humanity is in a time between worlds, at a time between stories. We are facing the possible death of humanity or the death of our humanity. First Principles and First Values is the tip of the spear in the fight for a human future. Articulating and telling a New Story of Value called CosmoErotic Humanism, the book is built around evolving First Principles and First Values that provide a new source code for the future of planetary culture. First Principles and First Values are a shared grammar of value as a context for our diversity, which hold blueprints for the bridge needed to cross from this world to the next.

Mission & Vision

The vision of World Philosophy and Religion Press is to produce a Great Library of books that offer a New Story of Value for a New Human and a New Humanity, including but transcending the great wisdom streams of humanity across space and time. It is this Great Library that will be the wayfinder in our crossing from Homo sapiens to Homo amor. Our purpose is to generate a Universal Grammar of Value as a context for our diversity, one that dignifies all people and welcomes us home to the Universe. We imagine a world that keeps the sacred covenant between generations, guided by a memory of the future. Our hope is that the writings and teachings we publish will serve to catalyze a now necessary reweaving of the human story.

This new human and cosmic Story of Value is critical at this moment of history. World Philosophy and Religion Press is dedicated to the creation of an integral planetary culture, capable of guiding humanity through the current evolutionary crisis.

The lead architects in this endeavor are world philosophers Dr. Marc Gafni and Zachary Stein, who think and write together with Ken Wilber, as well as Sally Kempton, Barbara Marx Hubbard, Howard Bloom, Daniel Schmachtenberger and other key colleagues — all contributing to the philosophy of Cosmo-erotic Humanism. The Press is founded by Aubrey Marcus, the standing board chair for the Center for World Philosophy and Religion.
